I began my career at Governor’s Ridge in 2007 as a caregiver during my senior year of high school. From the start, I developed a passion for serving older adults and have remained dedicated to senior living ever since. Over the years, I have grown within the community through several key roles, including Assistant Resident Care Director, Administrative Assistant, Business Office Manager, Assistant Executive Director, and now Executive Director. I am proud to lead Governor’s Ridge, and I am committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment where residents feel valued, respected, and truly at home. My goal has always been to improve the lives of residents in every way possible, and I strive each day to make that mission a reality. Outside of work, I am a proud sports mom. I enjoy spending time with my 11-year-old son and can often be found at the baseball fields cheering him on!

I began my healthcare career in 2000 in home health and became a State Certified Nursing Assistant in 2005 and a Certified Medication Aide in 2007. Over the years, I have gained experience working in skilled nursing, memory care, behavioral health, and within the Texas prison system. In 2012, I furthered my education by becoming a Pharmacy Technician. I joined Governors Ridge in 2024 as a Medication Technician/Caregiver, was promoted to Assistant Resident Care Director, and now proudly serve as the Resident Care Director. I am passionate about providing compassionate care and supporting residents and staff. Outside of work, I am a proud mother of four and a loving Mimi to six grandchildren.

My culinary journey started over 15 years ago in the restaurant industry. I am currently working as Executive Chef at Governors Ridge.
I’ve been known for my innovative approach to Southern Cuisine. I’ve honed my skills in some of Texas and Tennessee’s top kitchens, including Fly By Night Cattle Co. and Christina’s American Table.
My passion for flavor and presentation has earned me multiple awards, including “Best Steaks“ (Restaurant Guru) and “Bite of the season” (The Texas Bucket List)
Beyond the kitchen, I am a musician and father of 4 with a strong belief that we can all be brought together by the power of food and create memorable dining experiences for the ones we cook for.

It all started with my mom. Working beside her in home healthcare and housekeeping for nearly a decade I realized, despite how I loved serving others, I also desired to pursue a career where I can utilize my creative side. After seven years in cosmetology, I wanted to go back to my roots in healthcare. I started off as a caregiver at Governor’s Ridge, but soon afterwards the activities department opened up and that’s where I found my perfect fit. I have so much fun providing a way for the residents here to express themselves in their own artistic ways. There is nothing more beautiful to me than seeing their laughter. I have truly found fulfillment as a life enrichment director, a caregiver, and most important, a friend to the people that call Governor’s Ridge home.

I retired from the financial industry after over 35 years and quickly decided I needed something else to do. I started as a receptionist in January of 2023 and worked my way up to Administrative Assistant and now Business Office Manager. I have several different hobbies that keep me busy but my favorite things to do are hang out with my twin grandkids or attend horse shows with my daughter.

I appreciate the opportunities given to me at Governor’s Ridge and enjoy the relationships I have established with both co-workers and residents.
